Bonney Lake-Sumner Drill Team Earns Top Marks at Seattle Dance Camp

The Bonney Lake-Sumner Drill Team stole the show at the Universal Dance Association summer camp last weekend, held at Seattle University.

The ladies of the Bonney Lake-Sumner Drill Team are revving up for another dynamic season by keeping their moves fresh this summer. The team, expanded to 41 girls from last year's 24, attended the Universal Dance Association (UDA) Summer Camp last weekend, hosted by Seattle University.

"These girls are a strong group and they will amaze you this year when they take the field and floor," said Coach Jill McKinley.

At camp, the team learned choreography routines in drill, pom, military, hip hop and more. The girls excelled at the leadership workshops and classes and took home high accolades, including:

Congratulations to ALL in the BLS Drill Team! I know you worked very hard at camp and it showed during the show you put on for us. Us parents will be with you all the way to do everything we can to make you a successful group! Congrats to my daughter, Margaret Ward, for making it through this demanding camp!
