Sophomore Katie Lasko also brought home a gold medal for finishing in first place in division drill downs.

We at Patch appreciate and love it when parents share the good news about the great things their kids are doing. Here, we want to thank Donna Zimbelman for giving us a heads up about the Bonney Lake and Sumner Drill Team:

The Bonney Lake Sumner Drill Team brought home two trophies from the “Kick It Up” competition at Kentridge High School on February 9.  The team earned 3rd place in the Pom category and won 2nd place with the debut of their new Military routine.  Sophomore Katie Lasko also brought home a gold medal for finishing in first place in division drill downs.  The team will compete at Decatur H.S. February 23 and Districts at Kentwood H.S. March 2 on the road to the State competition at the Sundome in Yakima on March 23.  Following the State competition, the team will head to Nationals in Costa Mesa, CA.  GOOD LUCK BLS DRILL TEAM!!
