January is School Board Recognition Month

Take a moment this month to say 'thank you' to the Sumner School Board this month.

January is School Board Recognition Month in the state of Washington, a declaration that coincides with a nationwide effort to honor and underscore the important role of elected school board members in public education and student achievement.

We encourage parents, students and educators to recognize the dedication and hard work of our school board members in preparing our students for a successful future. As local decision-makers, they are creating schools that meet high education standards and serve our community. With leadership from our school board, the Sumner School District provides an excellent education for our students and contributes to the quality of life in our communities.

At the January meeting of the Board of Directors, the Board will present Mountain View Middle School with books for the school library in observance of School Board Recognition Month.
