Letter to the Editor: Mayor Enslow Endorses Jeff DeMarre for Sumner School Board

Election Day is almost here. Because every vote is important, I’m writing in support of re-electing  to the Sumner School Board. I have known Jeff both personally and professionally and recommend him highly.  He consistently makes important contributions to the quality of education in Sumner.

Jeff's vast work experience in the public sector and his engineering background means he brings unique skills and informed analysis when providing valuable oversight for the District's many school construction projects.  This year for example, Jeff took on additional responsibilities to ensure the pool would stay open to the public.  Beyond his regular Board duties, he served in a vital role on a special committee that transitioned the pool to a private operator and made sure it stayed open.  Keeping our pool open is important to many of us in the community.  Thanks Jeff for your help.

Jeff’s knowledge, integrity and leadership skills have paid off for Sumner and he has my vote for another term.  We need good folks like Jeff guiding our school district.
