Did you know that 1 in 6 Americans may be going to bed hungry each night?

Have you ever considered what a hardship summer months can especially be for school children who count on free and reduced meal programs to meet their hunger needs during the school year? Together we will make a difference in fighting hunger!  This project is part of Mountain View Middle School's Friends of Rachel Club (more at http://www.king5.com/community/Rachels-Challenge-thriving-at-Mountain-View-Middle-School--150698175.html).

Special Student Drop Off and Parking Procedures for June 1:

Because there will be a Northwest Harvest truck and a KING 5 News van in the front of the school on June 1, we will need to ask you to do the following to ensure safety for our students and drivers when dropping your child off at school on that morning:

  • The flag pole loop will be coned off for non-entrance for vehicles.
  • Please drop off your child outside the main gym and then pull forward to exit through either the lower or upper parking lots without entering the loop.
  • If dropping off food, proceed to the designated, signed area - students will be available to assist you in transporting your donation to the NW Harvest truck and you will be able to exit through the upper or lower parking lots.
