Sumner Board Looks At School Superintendent's Evaluation

Spencer took over for embattled former leader Mendoza

The Sumner School Board will discuss Superintendent Craig Spencer’s evaluation at its meeting starting at 6 Wednesday night at Sumner Middle School.

A couple of other important events will precede the meeting. A ribbon-cutting will take place at 4:45 p.m. at the middle school, followed by a dedication ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Sumner School District teachers and staff who are retiring will then be honored at a reception.

At the regular school board meeting, reports will be given on the closure of the McAlder facility, the alternative high school and student achievement. Audience comments will be given, followed by statements from the superintendent and board members. On the agenda under unfinished business will be the second readings of new instructional and wellness policies.
