Tonight: Rachel's Challenge Comes to Mountain View Middle School

Sumner School District invites the community to come listen to Rachel's Challenge, a program inspired by the first victim of the Columbine shooting, tonight at Mountain View Middle School.

Tonight, students and family will gather at Mountain View Middle School to hear the story of Rachel Scott, the first victim of the Columbine High School shooting on April 20, 1999. 'Rachel's Challenge' is one of the nation's most popular programs on the repercussions of school violence and the need for kindness and compassion in daily life.

The one-hour presentation, led by a combination of Rachel's family and supporters, will include readings from her diary and footage of her life and the Columbine tragedy.

Tonight's presentation will be held in the Mountain View Middle School gym from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Mountain View students and their families are invited to attend.
