Midsummer Renaissance Faire Returns to Bonney Lake this Weekend

Do you ever wish you were born in another time, that life were a little more medival?

Then the may be for you. The event kicks off this Friday at 10 a.m. and continues the next two weekends, through August 19.

The Midsummer Renaissance Faire brings performers and revelers together in one of the biggest events of the year. People travel from all over the United States to Bonney Lake to show off their medival wear, sample gigantic turkey legs, joust with competitiors and bicker with pirates. The Queen and her court are not to be missed -- the dresses and jewels on their dresses can weigh over 100 pounds.

Dressing up is not mandatory, but getting into the spirit is. Here's everything you need to know about attending the Faire. If you can't make it, not to worry -- Patch has got you covered. We'll be there snapping photos and drinking butterbeer with the best of them.

WASHINGTON MIDSUMMER RENAISSANCE FAIR INFORMATION

DATES: Weekends of Aug. 4-5, 11-12, 18-19

LOCATION: , Bonney Lake

TIME: Extended hours this year, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

TICKETS AND PARKING: Tickets are available at the Castle Gate. You can purchase them online here. An adult day pass is $18 and a youth pass is $12. Kids 5 and under are free. Tickets are good all three weekends and parking is free.

EVENTS NOT TO BE MISSED: First Weekend: Piratical Plunder. Second Weekend: Fantastical Faeries (featuring artist Amy Brown) Third Weekend: Her Majesty's Royal Masquerade

CAMPING: Tent and RV camping is available on site. The cost is $15 per person per weekend for tent camping and $35 per weekend for RV.

FOOD: Food and drink are available on-site, but you can bring a picnic lunch too!

AFTER HOURS FUN: The Hammered Troll Pub is open after hours for the adults. It is open from 7:30 p.m. to Midnight on Friday and Saturday evenings. Please come and join us for a song, a drink and a lot of laughs and fun.
