TOMORROW: Join Bonney Lake, Sumner at Relay for Life

Experience the magic of relay and join the Bonney Lake and Sumner communities at the annual . Registration starts at 4 p.m. on Friday and the festivities continue through the weekend.

It's Relay's first year at Bonney Lake High School and the event takes place on the track field. (We've attached a map of the school to this article).

Here's what you need to know about the weekend's event:

WHAT TO EXPECT

Relay for Life will take place on the track field. Teams will be camping out in their booths and representatives will continuously walk the track. Many groups have themes and wear costumes. This year's theme is "The Magic of Relay. Dream it. Hope It. Cure it." So, expect plenty of Disney characters and tunes!

There will be vendor booths representing local support organizations with food, games and fundraising opportunities.

Participants aren't required to stay the whole weekend, but many do because it's a ton of fun!

FRIDAY

Accounting & Registration Opens: Friday, 4 p.m. / Closes 9 p.m.

Survivor Registration & Celebration: Friday, 4 p.m. / Closes at start of Opening Ceremony

CPS-3: Friday, 5 p.m. / Closes at 9 p.m. (limited to first 221 people)

Purple Pledge Booth: Friday, 5 p.m. (limited to first 150 people)

Be The Match (Bone Marrow Registry): Friday, 5 p.m. / Closes at 9 p.m.

Opening Ceremony: Friday, 6 p.m.

Survivor Lap: Friday, 6:15 p.m. (time approx., immediately following Opening Ceremony)

Cascade Regional Blood Services Blood Drive: Friday, 6:30 p.m. / Closes 10:30 p.m.

Luminaria Ceremony: Friday, 10 p.m. (time approximate)

SATURDAY

Accounting Opens: Saturday, 8 a.m. / Closes 10 a.m.

Fight Back & Closing Ceremony: Saturday, 11 a.m.

HOW DOES THE WEEKEND WEATHER LOOK?

Warm and sunny! Friday and Saturday both will have a predicited high of 71 degrees Farenheit, according to the National Weather Service.
