Make a Global Impact This Easter

Make a global impact this year by attending Easter service at Open Life.

, the church that meets at Bonney Lake High School, is putting a new twist on Easter this year. They are making a $5 donation for every person in attendance to provide clean drinking water to the developing world. They call it 1+1=10.

Driven with a heart to truly connect with those who have never done the church thing or explored the content of the Bible, Open Life puts a strong effort into being relevant.  This leads them to be active within the community leading such events as the Big Give, Love Week and being present at community events that benefit the city.  Within the first two years of this church they have exemplified generosity and community engagement.

While planning something that would be inspiring for those within the community to make a first visit to a church, Open Life’s leadership team began brainstorming. What would make someone who has never stepped foot in a church come to an Easter service? Especially when they drive past church facilities in this community with no second thought of stopping in on any given Sunday.

One idea caught traction.

“We live in an age where people are motivated to do something bigger than themselves, making a global impact”, said Jadon Haynes, media pastor at Open Life.

This idea resonated with the team and Open Life began to walk down the road of what need was most globally impacting and important. It didn’t take long to land on one of the most inspiring charities and organizations in our world, Charity Water.

The need globally for clean drinking water is enormous. One in every six people do not have clan water which leads to illness, economic decline and death. Clean water changes everything for those who receive it, so Open Life set out to impact the globe on Easter with their “One Day To Change The World” experience.

We are excited to invite people to not just attend a service on Easter, but come to a church that is truly designed for them and make a global impact at the same time.

For every person, man woman and child in attendance on April 8th, Open Life will give $5 to CharityWater.org. It just takes $20 to provide clean drinking water to one person. The most amazing thing about CharityWater.org is that 100 percent of the donations go to the source. The company is privately funded for their business costs so literally every dollar will reach those who have no clean water and within 18 months Open Life will have images, and GPS locations of the clean water Easter 2012 will provide somewhere around the globe.”

Maybe you are trying to decide if you will go to check out a church this Easter, this will be in place in or around Bonney Lake.

If you have never been to church before…go to Bonney Lake High School April 8 at 10am. You can do church and make a global impact.  Great concept and a very unique opportunity for all who want to make a difference in our world by simply showing up!

This Easter you can be a part of 1+1=10, $10 in global impact through providing clean drinking water to those in need. The Open Life Easter Experience, "One Day To Change The World."

This is not the first time or the first person Quinn tried to hurt. I think she has a bitter andRead More evil heart. Instead of building and supporting the city, she prefers to tear down anything good and honorable. I'm so glad the voters saw fit to pass her by when she ran for election! With her attitude, it would have been detrimental to having a nice city to live in! Stuff a sock in it, Quinn!

I will never forget you David. We were connected through a tragic event that at times just feelsRead More like yesterday, and then you were taken from this earth by another tragic event. The 28 years inbetween went to fast. You were humble and down to earth. I feel as though you were surprised at how many people you touched in your 41 years. It was evidence at your service that you are loved by many, and you will never be forgotten.
