Beautify Bonney Lake at 9th Annual Event this Saturday

Spend your early Saturday afternoon at the 9th Annual Beautify Bonney Lake, kicking off at 9 a.m. tomorrow.

Join your neighbors tomorrow morning at the , a clean-up event that promotes civic pride and street cleanliness.

Last year's event drew about 500 residents and many look forward to the work party all year long. There are 22 pickup sites this year, read more in a recent article in the Bonney Lake & Sumner Courier-Herald.

Mayor Neil Johnson characterized the event as a "partnership" between the city, businesses, schools, churches, community service organizations and the Chamber of Commerce.

"Today, Beautify Bonney Lake is a community event ... to build a strong community," he said.Β  "You can see from the strong community outpouring that people care about the city of Bonney Lake."

What time is the event tomorrow? Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the event will wrap up around noon.

Can I just show up tomorrow? Yes! Volunteers will meet at the Pierce Transit parking lot behind Wendy's off 410 between 8:30am & 9:00am to assign work locations. If you want to sign up a group for the event, download the volunteer application from the Beautify Bonney Lake website.
