Reuben A. Knoblauch Heritage Park

<p>Heritage Park is a focal point for everything Sumner. Parade routes, community festivals, street performances and family gatherings all seem to find themselves here. This small park is full of symbolism--the red and green colors on the gazebo represent the colors of rhubarb, an influential Sumner export during the 1960s. There are also circular designs surrounding the gazebo, a reminder of the twirling street dancers of the 1920s.</p> <p>Heritage Park was largely made possible by a generous contribution from the late Senator Knoblauch, a 30-year Washington state senator who retired in 1977.</p>
