Thad really is an inspiration to us all. His bright smile brings out kindness in everyone he comesRead More across, and the impact of The Big Give and other volunteer efforts is amazing. Bonney Lake truly is home to one of the biggest hearts around.

Hmmm, so you wrote this piece on Friday and it went out in the email on Sat. at 9:30 AM, for a Sat.Read More 9 AM event, of which I received it at work (my choice, I know) on Mon. Not much notice there.

Hey Todd! We've been writing about Beautify Bonney Lake for a while and have some friends with BBLRead More that have been talking about it in our blog. Sorry the last-minute preview didn't give you enough time to plan... I'll try and get these event previews out earlier!

It doesn't seem that long ago, you couldn't find a person in Bonney Lake that didn't know myRead More grandparents. But Bonney lake was a different place then, with just a gas station and a DQ, and we'd drive to Auburn for groceries. I remember helping my grandmother collect books, and attending the library dedication with her. Where I got to shake the hand of the then Governor Dixy Lee Ray. Most of my family lives in the greater Seattle area, and we have maintained our ties to the Bonney Lake area. I have sent this article to my mother, letting her know you are interested in learning more about her mother.

One note: This offer is for new registrations only as we are needing to boost our turnout. TheRead More economy has made it difficult for folks to afford a nice evening out. We hope to help out with this process. Also, we ask those who attend to consider bringing a non-perishable food item so that we can also assist the ever growing need at our local Food Bank. SugarBabies, listed above as a merchant participant, has opted not to participate this year, but there are still some incredible wines to be tasted and merchants to visit. We have excellent white, red and even unique wines for your tasting pleasure. Heritage Bank is leading up the registration table (which opens at 3 pm) and is providing a great deal of assistance to ensure you have a great time. Come....Spend some time in Sumner!

SDA wishes to thank Emily Brown - art teacher at SDA for her assistance in helping us present thisRead More project to her Art Club. We received several fine submissions but fell in love with the two concepts presented by Karen and Olivia. Not only are they wonderful artists, but they have been professional, friendly and represent the true spirit of our Sumner youth. Thanks Ladies!

We adopted a very sweet cat from Metro Animal Services about a month ago (Aleece, now renamedRead More 'Nym'), and the photos of her and several other cats on the website was part of what made us decide to visit this shelter, even though it's a bit out of the way for us. It's nice to know who is behind the great photos they have online!

I''m wondering how many residents are out at the lake? And your asking for volunteers to clean upRead More the lake bed area? I personally have been on Lake Tapps doing some Stone work for a Customer, and after having lunch at the golf course on the 3 day job, I have NOT BEEN BACK, that was 8 yrs ago or more. I've only been treated this RUDE one other time, and that was on my return from South East Asia during the Viet Nam WAR at Lambert Field in St Louis, Mo. So I doubt seriously if I'm going to volunteer my week-end cleaning up someone's lake area that would not allow me to walk across their yard to get to the lake. I'm sure theirs enough tax paying residents at the lake to get a real good clean up. Besides theirs Storm damage remains in my own yard.
