Bonney Lake Police is led by interim Chief Dana Powers. There are 30 full time officers, 2 reserves officers, 3 limited commissions officers and 5 special case officers on the force. In 2009, the department responded to 12,123 calls, and police filled out 3,589 reports. There were 10,593 traffic stops, 99 DUI citations, 8,177 traffic infractions and 1,209 charged criminal traffic crimes. The police issued 533 misdemeanor citations, arrested 1,385 adults and 111 juveniles.
