Many public meetings are held in the Justice & Municipal Center, including the Planning Commission, Design Commission, City Council and Park Board.

<p>The municipal court is located in the Justice Center and provides passport services. All criminal citations, traffic infractions, parking tickets and photo infraction tickets issued in Bonney Lake are handled in this courtroom. The domestic violence kiosk is also located in the Justice Center. The Community Services Director is also located in the Justice Center.</p>
<p>Regular meetings of the Bonney Lake City Council are the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in the Justice Center, and they meet in the same location the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays for study session at 5:30 pm.</p>

<p>Bonney Lake Police is led by interim Chief Dana Powers. There are 30 full time officers, 2 reserves officers, 3 limited commissions officers and 5 special case officers on the force. In 2009, the department responded to 12,123 calls, and police filled out 3,589 reports. There were 10,593 traffic stops, 99 DUI citations, 8,177 traffic infractions and 1,209 charged criminal traffic crimes. The police issued 533 misdemeanor citations, arrested 1,385 adults and 111 juveniles.</p>
