Walking into the Secret Garden Tea Room & Gift Shop is like walking into a tea room in England. The historic…More Sumner house has been refurbished to hold all the beauty, quality and craftsmanship of a late 1800s homestead. The tea rooms are eloquently decorated with Victorian charm. Tea is served in China tea pots, with china tea cups and saucers and silver spoons for stirring your cream. The food is worth throwing your diet to the wind and being thankful you don't have to stop before you finish your homemade scone and jam because your corset is laced too tightly.
Scones to take home are also available and freshly prepared as you wander through the beautiful gift shop adorned with matching sets of Victorian-style and modern china, a large variety of tea for purchase, gift items of jewelry and tea time necessities, just to name a few.

Free WiFi is available to add an extra level and comfort and convenience for those waiting in the comfortable seating area for a class to end. Owner Melanie Roach is a former Olympic weight-lifter, and used her expert knowledge to determine the training equipment that was required for this first-rate gym. And as a mother of four, she's also made it a point to cater to all ages. New walkers can be enrolled in basic tumbling and play classes, which includes time in the "Pot of Gold" - a large pit of gold foam chunks for jumping in. The Busy Bugs program is available for toddlers, and a part-time pre-school is housed inside the gym.
Melanie and her husband, State Representative Dan Roach, heavily support the special needs community and offer a Special Needs class each Saturday. Roach Gymnastics also hosts Parent's Night Out on the third Saturday of each month, from 6 PM to 10 PM. It is a drop-off program, giving kids a night of play and parents a night off.
